The universe of the Zone consists of many factions, the main of which are the infected and the rebels. The protagonist and his friends are forced to leave their desolate shelter and go to the Zone, a dangerous hell of radioactive jungle laws, in search of a new Eden. Survivors, insane criminals and demi-humans roam the world ruins in search of salvation. The world plunged into a series of climatic cataclysms and epidemics, the destruction of the global economy plunged the world into terrible chaos, burying the familiar appearance and way of life of all mankind.
